Hello and welcome
My name is Rachel Griffiths and I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor.
I am encouraging, open, and honest. My approach is warm and compassionate. I can draw from several core therapeutic approaches, so that our sessions are tailored to you. We are all different and our sessions reflect this.
Our relationship is a key element to our work together, as you need to feel trust in order to be able to work constructively. I provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore whatever brings you to counselling. Your sessions are your time and space to use as you need, without worry of judgement.
I work with individuals over the age of 18, and offer therapy services face-to-face, online and by telephone. Sessions can be on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, to suit your needs. It remains incredibly important to me that people have the opportunity to just be, to sit with their thoughts and feelings and simply be heard.
I have been privileged to work with bereaved people in a voluntary role for a number of years and I knew early on that I had found the vocation for me. Being an observer of a person’s journey continues to be incredibly rewarding.
Outside of my counselling room I enjoy reading, eating and being outside – preferably in the sunshine. I am rejuvenated by surrounding myself in colour. This balance allows me to bring my best self into the counselling room.
As a registered member of the National Counselling Society (NCS18-06077), I am committed to abiding by their Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions and Professional Conduct Procedure. This includes their comprehensive guidelines on confidentiality.
